VALENTIN BOURÉ
In Valentin Bouré’s (Paris, 1984) works there is silence, quiet conviction and a hypnotizing sense of beauty, poetically captured in a series of four analog photographs like moments suspended in time. Bathed in rays of gold and green light, the images are reminiscent of traditional Impressionist paintings, and invite the viewer to navigate the tension between reality and fiction; the static and the dynamic; the bucolic and the visceral. Shot during the spring of 2020, the series show us that even at the time where the world had to stop, a parallel life—oblivious to the chaos of the unrivalled events—was in effect possible.
En las imágenes de Valentin Bouré (Paris, 1984) hay silencio, convicción, una belleza hipnotizadora propia de la pintura, y esa capacidad inusitada de captar la atención del que las observa. Como si se tratasen de cuadros, esta serie de cuatro fotografías analógicas bañadas en una luz dorada y verdosa capturan instantes suspendidos en el tiempo y navegan entre lo estático y lo dinámico, lo real y lo ficticio, lo bucólico y lo crudo. Tomadas durante la primavera de 2020, nos demuestran que, aun el periodo en el que el mundo tuvo que frenar, una vida paralela ajena al caos de los acontecimientos fue realmente posible.
