Studio Weil and the Weil Art Exchange Foundation

Studio Weil is a painting and sculpture studio designed and built for the American painter and sculptor Barbara Weil in Port d’Andratx, Mallorca, Spain. Daniel Libeskind worked closely with Ms. Weil to design and create a building with exhibition space and working quarters.

“Studio Weil is a brave and remarkable structure and a fascinating example of creative synergy between two artists who, unknowingly, had shared something like a common approach to visual form long before Libeskind became news.” –The Guardian (September 2003)

The Weil Art Exchange offers international artists of various disciplines - visual arts, music, literature, architecture - an opportunity to build upon the creative synergy that Barbara Weil and Daniel Libeskind found and to provide a space for cultural exchange and dialogue.

Weil Art Exchange will announce an annual call for submissions and proposals from artists. The jury committee will select artists to present their work.
