RUTH HUNDESHAGEN
Ruth Hundeshagen (Bonn, 1984), photographer and architect based living between Mallorca and Germany, wanted to capture life during lockdown from another perspective. Her project ‘Neverland’ is a photographic report of the quarantine from rooftops in Palma. These images, just like a breath of fresh air, radiate a sense of freedom that only a few were able to experience while Spain was in a state of emergency. With an optimistic and playful take, Ruth’s eye is deeply interested in people and their stories.
Ruth Hundeshagen (Bonn, 1984), fotógrafa y arquitecta que vive entre Mallorca y Alemania, quiso documentar la cuarentena desde otra perspectiva. Mediante su proyecto ‘Neverland’, la artista lleva a cabo un reportaje de la vida confinada desde azoteas de Palma: son fotografías que, como un soplo de aire fresco, emanan esperanza y una sensación de libertad que unos pocos afortunados pudieron experimentar durante las semanas de estado de alarma en España. Con una mirada optimista y jovial, el objetivo de Ruth se interesa por las personas que retrata y, sobre todo, por sus historias.
