CARMEN ARBÓS
Carmen Arbós is a visual artist from Mallorca, graduated from Camberwell College of Arts (London) in 2019 with an FdA in Illustration and from ESNE (Madrid) in 2017 with an HND in Animation. She's one of the finalists of Barbara H Weil Award 2021.
Arbós works with both digital and traditional mediums, usually experimenting and mixing differents techniques and disciplines, as illustration, painting, photography, ceramics and animations.
Her practise often relates to cultures, nature and social critique. She likes to capture what surrounds her in it's very simple form, within a line between abstract and figurative. In this way, Arbós makes a composition of the elements that draw her attention. Every piece represents a moment, a feeling or an experience. At the end, Arbós sees art as a language that allows to speak with no words.

Trabaja tanto con medios digitales como tradicionales, experimentando y mezclando diferentes técnicas y campos como la ilustración, pintura, fotografía, cerámica y animación.
Su obra está inspirada en cultura, naturaleza y crítica social. Le gusta plasmar lo que le rodea de forma simple, en una línea entre lo abstracto y lo figurativo. De esta manera, crea un composición de los elementos que llaman su atención. Cada pieza representa un momento, un sentimiento o una experiencia. Al final, entiende el arte como un lenguaje que permite hablar sin palabras.
