Sandra Val (Tarragona, 1979. Works between Madrid and Palma). She has completed the Master of  Research in Art and Creation (2017) and has a degree in Fine Arts (2015) from the Complutense Uni versity of Madrid.  

Her research starts from a liminal state where pieces of tradition and present converge, which she her self transmuted and redefined, creating stories and new dialogues that tell us about time and space.  She uses traditional techniques such as ceramics, goldsmithing or glass to generate works that move  between the familiar and the strange, sometimes creating specific scenarios.  

She has participated in the International Biennial of Ceramics of Korea, in the International Festival of  Contemporary Ceramics of Zaragoza, in the International Biennial of Ceramics of Manises in Valencia,  in the Prize of Plastic Arts La Rural of Jaén and in the Biennial of Sculpture Valldoreix dels Somnis of  Barcelona. Her work has been exhibited at the Barjola Museum in Gijón, at the C.A.V. La Neomudéjar  Museum in Madrid, at the Provincial Museum of Teruel, at the Gyeonggi Museum of Contemporary  Ceramic Art in Korea and at different institutions in Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia and the  United States.

Sandra Val (Tarragona, 1979. Trabaja entre Madrid y Palma). Ha cursado el Máster de Investigación en Arte y Creación (2017) y es graduada en Bellas Artes (2015) por la Universidad Complutense de  Madrid.  

Sus investigaciones parten de un estado liminal donde confluyen pedazos de tradición y presente que  ella misma transmuto y redefino, creando relatos y nuevos diálogos que nos hablan del tiempo y el es pacio. Utiliza técnicas tradicionales como la cerámica, la orfebrería o el vidrio para generar obras que  transitan entre lo familiar y extraño; creando, en ocasiones, escenarios específicos.  

Ha participado en la Bienal Internacional de Cerámica de Corea, en el Festival Internacional de  Cerámica Contemporánea de Zaragoza, en la Bienal Internacional de Cerámica de Manises de Valen cia, en el Premio de Artes Plásticas La Rural de Jaén y en la Bienal de Escultura Valldoreix dels Som nis de Barcelona. Su obra ha estado expuesta en el Museo Barjola de Gijón, en el Museo C.A.V. La  Neomudéjar de Madrid, en el Museo Provincial de Teruel, en el Gyeonggi Museum of Contemporary  Ceramic Art de Corea y en distintas instituciones de España, Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia y Estados  Unidos.
